HomeFeaturesWaivers and safety
Included in every editionSigned, sealed and checked before the boat leaves.
Waivers and medical forms signed on the diver's phone or your counter tablet, sealed as a tamper-evident PDF and checked at the jetty. Plus the tools your crew needs when something goes wrong.
Liability waiver
- 1.I understand that scuba diving carries risks, including decompression illness.
- 2.I will dive within my training and follow the guide's briefing.
- 3.My answers on the medical form are true and complete.
From signature to jetty, without a clipboard.
The same record follows the diver from their phone to your counter to the boat. Nobody types anything twice.
- Before they arrive
Divers sign the waiver and medical form in the app, in their own language. Their details are filled in; medical answers are always fresh for your shop.
- Or at your counter
Walk-ins sign on a tablet locked to one diver. Staff leave counter mode only with their own PIN.
- Sealed once
The PDF is rendered, sealed with a digital signature and stored once. The diver gets a copy in the app.
- Checked at the jetty
Check-in and the manifest show signed, clearance needed or expired, so nobody boards without paperwork.
The record
A PDF that shows if anyone touched it.
Every signature comes with an audit trail and a digital seal. Change one letter and the seal breaks, which anyone can check in standard PDF tools.
- Your waiver or ours. Upload your own text, or start from DiveHive's template. Every edit is a new version, and a new version asks divers to sign again.
- Minors and guardians. A guardian signs for a junior, and a physician's clearance can be attached and kept private.
- Kept as long as you decide. You set retention per document kind, from your country's defaults. DiveHive warns 30 days before anything is deleted.

Who sees what
Medical answers stay with the people who need them.
Your guides need to know who is cleared to dive, not what a diver wrote about their health. DiveHive shows each role exactly that much.
- Owners and admins see the full record. Every download is logged.
- Staff see the status only: signed, clearance needed or expired.
- The Board, notifications and analytics never show medical answers.

Before the boat leaves
One screen says whether you are ready to go.
Paperwork, weather, the boat's licence, the kit and the people on watch, checked in one place before the lines come off.
- Flags, not cancellations. Official storm warnings, tides and your wind limits flag a trip. If you go anyway, the decision is recorded.
- Passenger manifest. One PDF per trip with nationality and emergency contacts, collected when divers sign.
- Headcount out and back. Persons on board against the boat's licence, counted at departure and at return.

When it goes wrong
The plan is on every guide's phone, even offline.
Your emergency action plan, a lost-diver checklist and the incident report travel with the crew. Every step is timed and written down while it happens.
- Surface watch and overdue alarm. Timers run offline on the boat and raise the alarm when a group is late.
- Sealed incident reports. Append-only, with witness statements and attachments, sealed like a waiver.
- One tap to call. Coast guard, hospital and the chamber from your country pack, on the screen that needs them.
- Note the time and last position
- Start the surface search pattern
- Call the coast guard
- Alert boats nearby
- Keep the group together on the boat
Aid only. Follow your emergency action plan and local authorities.
Guidance, never autopilot.
Storm warnings and limits flag a trip. Nothing cancels itself, and "go anyway" is recorded with a name.
Where no official warning feed exists, DiveHive says so. It never calls a site, a sea or a diver safe.
Checklists and symptom checks support your crew. They never replace your plan, your training or a doctor.
Everything in waivers and safety.
All of it is part of every edition, for every location, at no extra cost.

Questions shops ask about paperwork.
More in the FAQ, or write to hello@divehive.app.
Can I keep using my own waiver?
Yes. Upload your own text, or start from DiveHive's template and adapt it. Every change becomes a new version, and divers sign again when the version changes.
Who can see a diver's medical answers?
The diver, and your shop's owners and admins. Staff see only whether the form is signed, needs a clearance or has expired. Medical answers never appear on the Board, in notifications or in analytics.
How do I prove a waiver was not changed?
Each signed PDF carries an audit trail and a digital seal. If anything in the document changes, the seal breaks, and standard PDF tools show it.
How long are records kept?
You decide per document kind. Defaults come from your country pack, DiveHive warns 30 days before anything is deleted, and records linked to an incident are held.
Does check-in work on the jetty without signal?
Yes. Check-in and the signing status work offline and sync when the signal returns.
Will DiveHive cancel a trip in bad weather?
No. Warnings and your limits flag the trip, and a person decides. If you go anyway, the decision is recorded.
