Included in every edition

Know the water before the boat leaves.

Temperature at depth, currents, waves and a visibility band for the sites you dive, from Copernicus Marine and your own guides' logs. Plus your own history turned into plans: where the week gets tight, and what plan B looks like.

From a forecast to a better plan.

Ocean data shows what the water will do. Your own logs show what it actually did. Together they make tomorrow's plan.

  1. Forecast

Temperature at depth, currents, waves and blooms per site, from open ocean models and official feeds.

  2. Planned

Conditions show next to the trip. A plan B is ready when the crossing looks rough. You decide.

  3. Dived

Guides log what they saw: visibility, current, temperature. No extra form.

  4. Learned

Your logs sharpen the visibility band, the season planner and the heatmap for next time.

Alerts

Warnings where a source exists. Honesty where none does.

Bloom and jellyfish alerts, water quality and storm surge appear where a reliable source covers your coast. Where none does, DiveHive says so, and points to the national service instead of guessing.

  • Flags never cancel a trip. Storm and weather flags inform. You and your captain decide.
  • "No recent data" instead of a made-up number, wherever the logs or models run thin.
  • Your weather limits. Wind and wave limits per boat and site, shown to staff only.

Plan B

A plan B before you need it.

For each trip you can keep an alternate site plan. DiveHive shows the conditions at both sites and on the way there, so the switch is one decision at dawn, not a debate on the jetty.

  • Boat-route conditions. Waves and current on the crossing, not only at the site.
  • Drift-dive pick-up hint. Where the current will likely carry a group, for the boat crew.
  • Everyone told. Switch, and guides, captain, divers and the Board get the new plan.

Your own history

See where the week gets tight.

The ops heatmap shows how full boats and guides are by day and hour, from your own schedule and bookings. Add staff or a second boat where it is red, and offer deals where it is quiet.

  • No-show advice. Expected no-shows from your last 90 days. Advice only: DiveHive never overbooks.
  • Site intelligence. Conditions by month, the best tide window and a marine-life calendar per site.
  • Plan staff ahead. Busy weeks show up before the roster is written.

Season and reef

Plan the season. Watch the reef.

The season planner shows water temperature and visibility over the year, for planning trips, staff and prices. Bleaching watch follows heat stress on the reefs you dive, and reef health trends come from your own logs.

  • On your public site pages. A light season planner helps divers pick when to come.
  • Bleaching watch. Heat stress in degree heating weeks: Watch, Warning, Alert 1 from 4, Alert 2 from 8.
  • For divers too. Free in the app, with ocean lessons for course students.

Guidance, never a guarantee.

People decide.

Forecasts and flags inform. They never cancel a trip, and they never call a site safe.

Honest about gaps.

"No recent data" and "no official feed here" are answers too. DiveHive never fills a gap with a guess.

Questions shops ask about ocean data.

More in the FAQ, or write to hello@divehive.app.

Where does the ocean data come from?

From the E.U. Copernicus Marine Service and global tide models, plus official warning feeds per country and your own guides' logs. Every source is named, with its datasets on an attribution page.

Is it a safety guarantee?

No. Forecasts are guidance. They never call a site safe and never replace your guides, your captain or local authorities.

Will a storm flag cancel our trips?

No. Flags inform your team. Only people cancel or change a trip.

What if there is no data for our area?

DiveHive says so plainly, for example "No official local warning feed, check the national service", and never fills the gap with a guess.

Will DiveHive overbook to cover no-shows?

Never. No-show advice is a number from your own history for you to consider. Seats are never sold twice.

Do our divers see this too?

Yes, free in the app: conditions for their trips and sites, with "Forecast. Always follow your guide and shop." Public site pages show a light season summary.
