Log once. Every diver gets it, verified.

The guide writes one log for the group, on the boat, even without signal. Every diver who was there gets a prefilled personal copy in their logbook. Your site knowledge stays with your shop.

Join the waitlist as a shopFounding shops: free in the beta, then 50% off for 12 months, then 20% off for as long as you stay.

From the surface interval to the logbook.

One log per group, written where it happens. Divers get theirs without typing a thing.

  1. Logged

The guide fills in the group log on the boat. No signal is fine: it syncs when the phone is back in range.

  2. Shared

Every diver who was checked in gets a prefilled personal log, with the guide's version marked verified.

  3. Corrected

Divers add their own notes or ask for a change. The guide confirms or declines it.

  4. Locked

After 7 days the verified log locks. It stays in the diver's logbook, at every shop they dive with.

The diver's logbook

A logbook written by people who were there.

Each personal log carries the group's data and the diver's own differences: who ended early, who skipped the second dive. Divers keep numbering from their paper logbook, add their buddy and rate the dive privately.

  • "Dived together today?" Divers tag their buddy with one tap, if both agree.
  • Numbering with an offset. Dive 148 stays dive 148, even if 120 were on paper.
  • Theirs to keep. PDF and JSON export, and a log card to share.

Corrections

Corrections, then locked.

Divers can ask for a change to a verified log, such as the depth from their own computer. The guide confirms or declines it. Divers' own edits stay visible as "edited by the diver, not verified". After 7 days the log locks.

  • Logs missing? Guides get a reminder for the groups they have not logged yet, oldest first.
  • Honest by design. A log never looks verified when the diver changed it.
  • A clear window. Seven days to fix mistakes, then the record holds.

Dive sites

Everyone's site. Your briefing.

Sites come from one shared database, with aliases, hazards, emergency information and typical life. Your shop adds its own private briefing on top: depth profile, route, entry and exit, and today's adjustments.

  • Private stays private. Your briefing and route are for your team. Divers see the route only if you choose.
  • Adjusted per dive. Current from the east today? Note it on the dive, not on the site forever.
  • Shops confirm new sites. A diver's new pin or edit goes live once a shop confirms it.

Shop knowledge

"Frogfish seen 3 days ago."

Every sighting your guides log feeds a live feed per site, matched to a species catalogue built from open science data. Canonical briefings, guide tips and site sign-off keep what your senior guides know inside the shop.

  • Site sign-off. A new guide leads a site once a senior guide has signed them off for it.
  • Canonical briefings. One agreed briefing per site, with tips, offline on every guide's phone.
  • Site intelligence. Conditions by month, best tide window and a marine-life calendar from your own logs.

Logs you can trust.

Written once, by the guide.

The person who led the dive writes the log. Divers' own edits are always marked as theirs.

Divers own their logbook.

Every verified dive, at every shop, in one place. Exported any time, kept when they move on.

Your knowledge stays yours.

Briefings, routes and tips are private to your shop. Nothing is published unless you choose.

Everything in logs and sites.

All of it is part of every edition, for every location, at no extra cost. Divers never pay for their logbook.

Questions shops ask about logs.

More in the FAQ, or write to hello@divehive.app.

Does the guide have to write a log for every diver?

No. The guide writes one log for the group. Every diver who was checked in gets a personal copy, with exceptions such as ending early noted per diver.

What if there is no signal on the boat?

Logs and check-in work offline. The log syncs when the phone is back in range, and it never arrives twice.

Do divers need the app to get their log?

No. Guests the shop added get their logs as soon as they claim their account from the booking link, on the web or in the app.

Can divers change a verified log?

They can add their own notes, which are marked as edited by the diver and not verified. For the verified part they ask the guide, who confirms or declines. After 7 days the log locks.

Is our site briefing public?

No. Your briefing, depth profile, route and tips are private to your shop. Divers see the route only if you switch that on for the site.

Who owns the logs?

Each diver owns their logbook and can export it as PDF or JSON at any time. Your shop keeps its record of the dives it ran.
