Included in every edition

Courses on the same schedule as the boats.

Agency courses with ratios that are rules, sessions that sit inside real trips and pool slots, and certifications that land verified on each student's profile.

From "I want to learn" to a verified card.

A course runs on the same days, boats and people as the rest of the shop, with the agency's rules built in.

  1. Requested

From your shop page in Discover, at the counter or by link. Age and prerequisites checked up front.

  2. Enrolled

Each student gets a progress strip, theory status and the materials their instructor shares.

  3. Taught

Pool, classroom and open-water sessions are booked into real slots and trips, within the ratio.

  4. Certified

The assigned instructor completes it. The certification appears verified on the student's profile.

Catalogue

Every agency's standards. Plus yours.

Courses come from a shared catalogue for PADI, SSI, SDI/TDI, RAID and CMAS, with ages, prerequisites, depths and ratios already set. Your shop can make any of them stricter, never looser, and add its own courses.

  • Only stricter. Raise the minimum age or lower the ratio. The agency standard is the floor.
  • Your own courses. A reef etiquette workshop or a buoyancy clinic, with your own sessions.
  • Requested from Discover. Divers ask for a course on your shop page, prerequisites checked.

Sessions

Students on the boat, not on a separate calendar.

Open-water sessions are groups inside real trips, next to fun divers on the same boat. Pool and classroom sessions get their own slots. The planner sees all of it on one schedule.

  • Hard ratios. A fifth student on a 1:4 group is refused until an instructor or assistant joins.
  • Make-ups that fit. A missed pool session goes into the next free slot, not into a spreadsheet.
  • One boat, mixed groups. Course divers and fun divers share the trip, each with their own guide.

Certification

Only the right instructor signs.

A course is complete when every requirement is met and the assigned instructor, with a rating your shop has confirmed, completes it. The certification then appears verified on the diver's profile, for the next shop to trust.

  • Assigned and rated. Nobody else can complete the course, not even an owner.
  • Agency sync. Cert verification, student sync, eLearning codes and cert submission, PADI and SSI first.
  • Processed with the agency. A tick for every cert you submitted yourself, so none are forgotten.

Students

Students always know what's next.

Each student sees their own progress, the next session and where to meet, plus the notes and PDFs their instructor shares. After the card, a learning path suggests what fits next at your shop.

  • Instructor materials. Tips, links and PDFs that travel with the instructor and are shared per course or student.
  • Referrals. Students who did theory or pool elsewhere join for the open-water part.
  • Learning path. Next steps after each certification, from your own course list.

Ratios are rules.

Hard limits, not warnings.

Ratios, minimum ages and instructor ratings stop the action. Nobody clicks past them on a busy morning.

Stricter, never looser.

Your shop can tighten any agency standard. It can never go below it.

Cards the next shop trusts.

Certifications are verified by the shop that issued them and stay on the diver's profile everywhere.

Questions shops ask about courses.

More in the FAQ, or write to hello@divehive.app.

Which agencies are in the catalogue?

PADI, SSI, SDI/TDI, RAID and CMAS, with their standard courses. You can add your own courses next to them.

Can we change an agency's standards?

Only to make them stricter: a higher minimum age, a lower ratio, extra prerequisites. DiveHive never lets a shop go below the agency standard.

What happens if a group would break the ratio?

The student is not added. Add a second instructor or an assistant to the group, or move the student to another session.

Who can complete a course?

Only the instructor assigned to it, with a rating your shop has confirmed. Owners and admins cannot complete a course on someone else's behalf.

Does DiveHive submit certifications to the agency?

Agency sync covers cert verification, student sync, eLearning codes and cert submission, starting with PADI and SSI. For other agencies you submit as usual and tick the cert as processed.

Do students need the app?

No. Students get their progress and next session from a link and by e-mail. In the app they also see their logbook and materials.
