Addendum: Philippines

This addendum applies if you live in the Philippines or use a dive shop located there. It supplements the Privacy Policy with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

1. Your rights under the Data Privacy Act

You have the right to be informed, to object, to access, to rectify, to erasure or blocking, to data portability and to damages, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

2. Minors

Divers under 18 are booked, take courses and log dives with the consent and signature of a parent or legal guardian. The guardian signs the waiver and medical form for the minor, and the dive shop keeps that signed record.

3. Passenger manifests

Dive boats in the Philippines may have to keep passenger manifests under Philippine Coast Guard rules. The dive shop is responsible for its manifests and for the lawful handling of the personal data in them.
